Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated an international organization
of college and professional men, was organized in 1914 at Howard University. The organization has three basic principles:
brotherhood, scholarship, and service. The princiles are clearly expressed in the Fraternity's motto:
Culture for Service and Service for Humanity...
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity's interest
in fostering the development of today's youth into effective leaders of tomorrow can be realized in the establishment of a
strong productive Sigma Beta Club.
The Sigma Beta Club is an essential
part of the total organizational sturcture of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. It offers Sigma Men a unique oppurnity to develope
wholesome value, leadership skills, social and cultural awareness with youth at a most critical state in thier personal
development.
The purpose for an organization
such as the Sigma Beta Club are countless in numbers. The Club, being an organization for young male students gives
them an opportunity to meet with each other on a regular basis outside the school atmosphere to discuss their interest and
problems. The Sigma Beta Club also gives its members a chance to meet with college and porfessional men; therefore exposing
the membership to to various viewpoints of educational achievements.
The primary programs for the Club
are educational; cultural; social; and athletic. They are designed to give members a chance to be innovative, thereby
instilling self confidence and a feeling of accomplishment. Service projects such as community clean-ups, assistance
to the elderly, and the March of Dimes, will assist Club members in getting invovled in their communities.
Over the past few years the Sigma
Beta Club program has evolved into Phi Beta Sigma's primary program for the developing leadership skills for
young males throughout the United States and abroad.
After the Time when the Earth was shrouded
in Darkness & Chaos. The Earth was saved on the 9th day of the 1st month in the YEAR of THE LIGHT by 3 noble men who wore
a Sigma on their heart. The Pure White Stars and CRESCENT MOON guided these men through darkness. These Men brought Light
to those being misled by false Ideals. Years later the regions were trying to up rise again, The Alphanians
region was taken over by their sons Project Alphaia, & a group of young ladies in Pink
& Green said to be their sisters the AKA Rosebudians, while this was occurring the descendants
of the Nupians were trying to up rise back over there region they were called the Kappa Leaguerians
and they were suppose to be helped by young ladies in Blue & Gold they called there sisters the Rhoerians
of SGRho; knowing how the Omegonians were,
their descendants the Omegion Ghentions, with the help of the Delteenians, who were also said to be there sisters
who was trying to help them take back there region. What they failed to Realize was that Sigma didn’t release there
most powerful weapon. SIGMA had a sister called Zeta. SIGMA & ZETA were the only true brother and sister. What
the Project Alphaia, AKA Rosebudians; Kappa Leaugerians, Rhoerians of SGRho; Omegion Ghentions, & the Delteenians, forgot
was that SIGMA had a son who was created with the Brightest Stars for his eyes, the Coldest blue from the Deepest sea made
up the blood that ran through his body that activated the Sigma in his heart, and his body was made up of the hardest rock
deep in the Earth and he wore the Letters Sigma Beta for he would get his Phi
when crossing the Sands of PhiBetaSigma. ZETA had a Daughter that was created with the Purest white Pearls as her eyes, the
Zeta in her heart was activated from the blue which was seen in the sky, her body was created with the most sacred jewel the
Pearl, she was a diamond to ZETA., the y named her Archonette. Sigma Beta & Archonette
were wondering the Regions seeing what was happening wondering what they could do, but there was a loud noise which came from
the Sky and the Heavens opened and they seen the Noble 3 and the 5 Pearls and they said to Sigma Beta and Archonette, You
2 must show the rest the right way Sigma Beta you must represent Scholarship, Brotherhood, & Service, and Archonette you
must represent The Epitome of Finer Womanhood, Sisterly Love and Scholarship for you 2 are the FUTURE and must Lead the others,
there will be others who try to be like you TRUE Brother & Sister for you 2 are the little brother and sister of the DOVE,
but they are only trying to have a bond as great as the BLUE & WHITE FAMILY which they cannot. You 2 must follow the DOVE
and it will take you on the journey across the Sands of SIGMA & ZETA and others will follow.
